Birdwatcher Beginner is the entry-level bird photography achievement in Heartopia, awarded for photographing 10 different bird species. This achievement introduces players to the Birdwatching hobby and encourages them to explore various regions while keeping an eye on the skies. Birds can be spotted perched on trees, near water, and flying through open areas across the game world.

The Birdwatching hobby uses the in-game camera system, and players must snap clear photos of birds to register them in the Birdwatching Diary collection. Common species like pigeons, sparrows, and robins are easy to find near Central Town, making this achievement approachable for beginners. Different regions host different bird populations, so traveling to new areas will quickly expand your species count.

For the fastest progress, visit areas with high bird density during calm weather, as birds tend to be more active and visible on clear days. Early morning and late afternoon are prime birdwatching hours in-game. This achievement is the starting point for the birdwatching progression, leading to the Master Ornithologist achievement, which requires every species. It also pairs well with the Rare Bird Spotter hidden achievement for those lucky enough to photograph a 5-star rarity bird.
