Birdwatching Diary

The Birdwatching Diary is a hobby collection in Heartopia that records all bird species photographed by the player. With 68 base species ranging from common pigeons and sparrows to ultra-rare Atlantic Puffins and Snowy Owls, this diary tracks one of the game's most exploration-dependent hobbies. Each entry includes the bird's name, rarity rating, habitat, and the conditions under which the photo was taken.

The Birdwatching Diary follows the standard four-tier badge progression. Beginner tier is awarded at 200 points, Junior at 1,000 points, Senior at 4,000 points, and Expert at 8,000 points. Photographing rarer bird species earns more points per entry. The 5-star rarity birds contribute the most points but are extremely difficult to find. Consistent exploration across all regions and weather conditions is necessary to progress through the tiers.

To complete the Birdwatching Diary, visit every region in the game during different weather patterns and times of day. Always carry your camera while traveling. Upgrade your camera lens to capture distant birds more easily. Check the diary regularly to identify species you are missing and focus your search on their known habitats. This collection is tied to the Birdwatcher Beginner, Rare Bird Spotter, and Master Ornithologist achievements. Expert tier completion is required for the Collector Extraordinaire achievement.
