Wheat is an essential crop in Heartopia that becomes available at Gardening Level 2. Seeds can be purchased from Blanc in the Flower Field for 95 coins each. As one of the earlier crops to unlock, Wheat serves as a critical bridge between starter crops and mid-game farming, providing both solid income and access to a wide range of cooking recipes.

Growth and Profit

Wheat requires 240 minutes (4 hours) to reach full maturity. Each harvested Wheat sells for 285 coins at base price, generating a net profit of 190 coins per seed planted. The profit-per-hour ratio works out to approximately 47.5 coins, which is competitive for its level tier. While slower than Tomatoes or Potatoes, Wheat rewards patient farmers with a strong return that helps fund upgrades and seed purchases for higher-level crops.

Wheat is by far the most widely used crop ingredient in Heartopia cooking, appearing in an impressive 15 recipes: Rainbow Cake, Foie Gras, Peking Duck, Cheesecake, Ramen, Cream Puff, Chocolate Cake, Mushroom Risotto, Garden Pizza, Fish Tacos, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Button Mushroom Pie, Apple Pie, Pancakes, and Egg Sandwich. Because of this, maintaining a large Wheat stockpile is critical for any player serious about leveling their Cooking hobby. Plant Wheat before longer breaks from the game, and consider dedicating multiple garden plots to it once unlocked.
