Shiitake is a common forageable mushroom in Heartopia, found growing on fallen logs and tree stumps throughout forested areas. As one of the four basic mushroom types, shiitake mushrooms are widely available and serve as a fundamental ingredient in many cooking recipes. Their earthy flavor makes them a versatile component in soups, main dishes, and side dishes.

Gathering shiitake mushrooms involves foraging in forested zones where they grow on decaying wood. Players simply interact with mushroom spawn points to collect them. There is no daily limit, and spawn points regenerate over time. Shiitake mushrooms are the most common mushroom type and can be found in virtually every forested area of the game, making them easy to stockpile.

Shiitake mushrooms are used extensively in cooking recipes across multiple categories, including soups, stir-fries, and side dishes.
