Hobby Expansion Ticket

Hobby Expansion Tickets are milestone rewards earned through D.G. level progression, and they are the sole method for unlocking new hobbies beyond the two that come automatically (Fishing at Level 1 and Gardening at Level 2). Each ticket unlocks one hobby of the player's choice from the available selection at that progression point, making the order in which you unlock hobbies a significant strategic decision.

Unlock Strategy

Tickets are awarded at D.G. Levels 2, 3, 5, 8, and 11. The first two tickets arrive quickly, but the later ones require substantial medal accumulation. At D.G. Level 5, players face their first major choice: Cooking, Insect Catching, or Birdwatching. Each choice opens a different gameplay path, and since additional tickets arrive slowly, this decision shapes your mid-game experience significantly. Community consensus generally favors Cooking first due to its strong Gold generation, but all three options are viable.

Hobby Expansion Tickets are non-tradeable and non-purchasable, ensuring that hobby progression is tied directly to D.G. level advancement. This design means every player eventually unlocks all hobbies, but the order in which they do so creates personalized progression paths that make each player's journey through Heartopia feel unique.
