Dog Care

Dog Care unlocks at D.G. Level 12 alongside Cat Care, taught by Mrs. Joan at the pet adoption center. This hobby features 11 dog breeds organized into three size categories: Small, Medium, and Large. Dogs bring energy and loyalty to your Home Area, following you around your property, performing tricks, and building bond through daily training and play sessions.

Breeds and Size Categories

Small dogs include the Corgi and Shiba Inu, both compact and energetic companions. Medium dogs offer the Beagle, Rural Dog, Golden Retriever, and Labrador Retriever, each with distinct appearances and charm. Large dogs round out the roster with the Poodle, Rottweiler, Sled Dog, Spotted Dog, and Shepherd Dog. Like cats, each dog receives 2 random personality traits from the same pool of 11 possibilities, affecting their behavior patterns and interactions.

Training and Bonding

Dogs in Heartopia have a stronger focus on active training compared to cats. Daily play sessions, walks, and training exercises build bond levels, and dogs tend to be more responsive to player movement and commands. A well-bonded dog will reliably follow you around your Home Area, greet you when you log in, and display happiness animations that add warmth to the daily gameplay experience.

The Doggie Time collection tracks all 11 breeds, and since each dog costs 500G to adopt with randomized traits, building the perfect pack is a long-term goal. Size category adds a visual dimension to collecting: seeing a tiny Corgi trotting alongside a massive Shepherd Dog in your home creates delightful contrast. Dog Care and Cat Care together represent Heartopia's commitment to cozy life-simulation gameplay, rewarding players who enjoy nurturing relationships alongside the more action-oriented hobbies.
