Green Thumb Beginnings

Green Thumb Beginnings is a main story tutorial quest in Heartopia that introduces the Gardening hobby. Available at D.G. Level 2, this quest has three objectives: visit the NPC Blanc, plant your first crop, and harvest it once it has grown. The quest walks players through the complete crop lifecycle, from seed selection and planting to watering and harvesting, establishing the core gardening mechanics.

Completing Green Thumb Beginnings rewards players with 200 Gold and 10 Contribution Medals. The true value of this quest is unlocking the Gardening hobby permanently, which provides access to garden plots, seed purchases, and the crop quality system. Gardening becomes one of the most profitable hobbies in the game, as high-quality crops can be sold for substantial Gold, used in cooking recipes, or gifted to NPCs for friendship points.

The quest is simple to complete: visit Blanc, plant the provided seed in your garden plot, water it daily until it matures, then harvest it. The first crop grows quickly to teach the mechanic without a long wait. After completion, the full gardening system opens up with 13 crop types, 13 flower species, and the hybrid breeding system. This quest leads into the Green Thumb, Master Gardener, and Flower Hybridist achievement chain and begins filling the Gardening Catalog collection.
